Levi grew up installing, sanding and finishing Hardwood Floors in Aspen Homes

Levi Installing hardwood floors when he was 16 years old.

Levi, owner, started his career working summer breaks in Aspen, Colorado with his father and brother. Bones Hardwood Flooring, the name of his fathers business, specialized in installing, sanding and refinishing luxury wood flooring. Levi experienced working with a variety of domestic U.S. milled wood flooring such as Oak, Maple and Hickory. The climate in Aspen is very dry and is at such a high altitude, he learned different techniques and skills to perfect the flooring in Aspen.

After sixteen years of perfecting his craftsmanship, Levi and his wife moved to Maui, Hawaii where he continued doing wood flooring with his brother. In Hawaii, he learned to work with very exotic woods in an extremely humid climate. This furthered his range and skills in the industry. Once Levi and Elizabeth had their son, Brody Finn, they wanted to move somewhere new and exciting. Austin , Texas was the perfect choice as Levi loves music, art and the energy that this vibrant city has. Levi named the business after his sons middle name Finn and has been working hard to build a legacy for his family since 2017.

In Austin there isn’t much he hasn’t seen and if there is, he welcomes the challenge. This range of diversity and time in the field has given Levi plenty of knowledge in this industry. Being a certified craftsman, a member of the NWFA (National Wood Flooring Association) you can count on the job being done to your satisfaction. Since Levi has been working with wood flooring for most his life he’s been able to use his skill set but also keep it fresh.

Meet the Crew

Finn Wood Flooring’s team is one of a kind. All having thorough, hands-on training by Levi or Dylon, they help us provide exceptional work to you as a client. Whether it’s installation, sand + finish or creating a product in our warehouse, we have a fantastic team we are proud to work with.

Dylon Nielsen | Lead Project Manager

Dylon has worked with Levi since Maui Days, 2014 he started working for Levi after marrying Levi’s younger sister, Laisha. Being Levi’s brother-in-law, they’ve had a great relationship. Dylons learned first hand from Levi about how to do EVERYTHING in the wood flooring industry. Dylon has perfected his skill in installation, sanding and finishing. He now runs Levi’s crew on job sites and works directly with home owners when on-site. Dylon will help you decide on a color and give you options as well as answer any questions you may have while they’re on the job. He is also helping Levi produce our prefinished wood flooring with our Soest machine. Dylon has a great eye and can spot imperfections, nothing slips under his nose while on the job or creating the flooring for your home in our warehouse. Besides enjoying the creative side of his work, Dylon spends time with his wife, Laisha, and son, Oliver and anticipates the arrival of their new baby girl in May. He loves to golf, wake surf and spend time with friends and family. Dylons a great asset to Finn Wood Flooring and we always have a good time working with him.

Terrin Capello | Lead Sand + Finishing

Terrin has been working for Levi since 2019 and has been a quick study with learning the skills of hardwood flooring services. He’s got the skill and efficiency that makes a great craftsman. Terrin has a passion for the beauty of finished wood floors and appreciates the work it takes to create such a great product. He has been one of our main guys on jobs and is now helping with our engineered wood flooring. Terrin also just became a father with his girlfriend, Marissa, to a little boy named angelo. He also loves photography, traveling, tattoo art and spending time with friends. We love having Terrin and his fun energy on the team!

 

Laisha Nielsen | Marketing Manager

Laisha, being levi’s sister and dylons wife, is very well acquainted with the hardwood flooring industry. she’s been finn wood floorings marketing manager since april of 2021, but her experience with the business goes back to her childhood. she grew up going to bid jobs with her dad in aspen, colorado and always helped on jobs. Laisha’s helped on many installs and sands over the years but has now found her niché lies in networking and and managing the website, social media and our collaborations. You might also see her at the showroom helping clients become better acquainted with our brand and company. Besides working for hardwood flooring, she is dylons wife, mother to his son oliver and their soon to be daughter coming in may. She loves being creative, going outside and being with friends.
